Peter Clarke

Peter brings a fresh perspective to the practice of Local Government, Planning and Environmental Law.

He will be graduating from the University of Sydney with a Masters in Environmental Law in 2016, and is on the NSW Young Lawyers Environmental and Planning Law Committee. He has years of experience in scrutinizing and challenging major resource projects and other inappropriate development.

Initially involved in public interest environmental law with a particular focus on ecologically sustainable development, judicial review and community awareness and engagement, Peter has since transitioned into the private sector with a particular interest in challenges to conditions of consent by developers and objectors alike.

Peter has years of experience working in high end customer service roles, and takes a kind and considerate yet motivated and result-driven approach to handling each client’s concerns and achieving the best result.

Peter is married and has a beautiful daughter, and another one on the way. Other than throwing himself into his work, Peter enjoys bushwalking, taking his daughter to the beach, and heading to the snow every so often. Peter spent a number of years as a snowboard instructor, working in Australia and Canada as well as riding in Japan and New Zealand, and even a wrist reconstruction from a knuckled kicker isn’t enough to deter him from hitting the white and fluffy!
