Henry Lawson Drive Upgrade Stage 1B

Property Acquisitions

Project Overview

The Henry Lawson Drive Upgrade Stage 1B involves the upgrade of approximately 1.8 kilometres of Henry Lawson Drive between Auld Avenue and the M5 Motorway at Milperra. The works include widening the existing road to four lanes, upgrading intersections and improving pedestrian and cyclist facilities along the project corridor.

As the project progresses, Transport for NSW may contact landowners where it requires an interest in land. This may include a full or partial acquisition of property, the creation of an easement, temporary construction access, or other interests required to facilitate construction of the project.

How We Can Help

If you have received a Section 10A Commencement Letter, a Proposed Acquisition Notice, or any other correspondence from Transport for NSW regarding your property, obtaining independent legal advice at an early stage can assist you in understanding your legal rights, protecting your interests and ensuring you are appropriately compensated throughout the acquisition process.

  • Reviewing Section 10A Commencement Letters and Proposed Acquisition Notices.
  • Advising on the compulsory acquisition process and your legal rights.
  • Negotiating with Transport for New South Wales regarding the proposed acquisition of your land or an interest in your land.
  • Advising on your entitlement to compensation.
  • Representing landowners throughout negotiations to achieve a fair and appropriate outcome.
  • Representing landowners in proceedings before the Land and Environment Court where agreement on compensation cannot be reached.
